I took Mia to the pediatrician's office today to see how much weight she has gained since last week Monday. Today she weighed 8 pounds 2 1/2 ounces. Last week she was 7 pounds 15 ounces, so she's gained 3 1/2 ounces this past week. The doctors would like for her to be gaining 4 ounces a week, so she's going to have to do a little better this week. Since she weighs more now, she also requires more calories, so pray that she would continue to eat better and put on more weight. At her current weight she should be taking in about 500 cc's each day and the past two days she's been at 480 cc's, which is great, but she needs to do a little better.
Her stoma has been doing much better, so continue to pray that it would heal completely, we are so close! We are just thankful that we are making progress in that area because the skin is such a sensitive issue and it's no fun when it hurts.
