A Long day (it's not over yet)

Lisa and Grandma Cheri took Mia back to UCLA today for an unscheduled dressing change. There was a blockage in the wound vac tube and we could not get it fixed at home. They left home about 8AM and at 5PM Grandma Cheri called me and said they were keeping them for observation till 6PM tonight, then they would be released to go home. Whew! Thanks for praying! ~Mia's Dad

Update: I just got off the phone with Lisa. She said "People were definitely praying for us today, because when we got to the hospital, they said, 'We are ready for you' and they took Mia right in to the Operating Room. That was awesome. The surgeon changed the dressing and really couldn't see the problem or a blockage. That was disappointing and frustrating. Then we were in the post anesthesia recovery room and the wound vac started alarming again, just like last night. The rep for the wound vac company was called, and came to look at the machine, and said, 'There's the problem, her wound is so small'! The suction cup on her wound inside the dressing was touching mostly skin instead of wound. They had to creatively put a piece of foam in between the suction cup and wound so it would not error out again. I think it must be almost healed." Thank you for praying! God has said "YES!" once again, and we are in your debt, friends and family. :-)

God is an awesome God. Don't mess with HIM. Hard to be up and down with the Doctors and Reps...but God is awesome to heal the wound.
